Safeguarding of adults and children, and the wellbeing of looked after children are high priorities for all independent organisations.
The protection of children and adults at risk from abuse and neglect is fundamental to delivering health and wellbeing and central to delivering quality services. Our commitment is to ensure that structures and governance arrangements for safeguarding are robust with the appropriate safeguarding systems, including clear accessible safeguarding policy and procedure training and governance systems.
Safeguarding occupies an increasing amount of time for managers. The increase in the level of safeguarding activity is partly due to better public and professional awareness achieved through training.
